These prizes will be given when things return to normal. Please use as much as you can from your blue bin, and make sure that your art work is cleaned first. The team from Multi-Material Stewardship Manitoba (MMSM), who manage the residential recycling program for Manitoba and the team at the Canadian Beverage Container Recycling Association (CBCRA) and their Recycle Everywhere program are very excited to see your finished art pieces!" It is Earth Hour this Saturday, March 28th, at 8:30pm... Here is some info about it from the World Wildlife Federation: "Earth Hour is a global environmental movement that aims to mobilize individuals, businesses and governments to take tangible action to build a healthy, sustainable future – and planet – for all. It has inspired millions around the world to raise awareness and take action for climate change, biodiversity loss, and wildlife conservation. It’s time to make nature matter.
On March 28, 2020 at 8:30 p.m. local time, switch off your lights to draw attention to the climate and biodiversity crises in Canada and around the world." They encourage people, this year, to participate online and in their homes. Click on this link to find out more. The Green Action Centre just sent out information about how to participate from wherever you are for Bike Everywhere Month, and Clean Air Day. Click on those links to check them out. Although, I'm going to contact them to find out how to not have a kit sent, because it's just extra paper, which is a different element of helping the planet to reduce the amount of things like paper being used. I'll get back to you on that!
