Last year when it was Earth Day, I shared a wonderful outdoor musical scavenger hunt of finding the music of nature, from the amazing blog Artsplorers! Take the scavenger hunt page below, by clicking on the picture, and go on your own sound scavenger hunt with your family! Here is the nature walk that I did by myself, with my pup! She made some of the sounds too!! Go check out our nature sounds that we found!
A couple of weeks ago I shared the first few videos of Al Simmons Learning From Home videos, and here is the rest of the playlist! It`s all about the science of sound! We did experiments at school to think about different sounds around the school yard. This can be done absolutely anywhere, like your own kitchen or back yard! To check out what we did, skip over to 'Music Outside' in the menu above. But also, here is the rest of Al Simmon's playlist! Al Simmons and others will be performing at a special Drive In version of Kidsfest this coming weekend! Click on the picture below to find out more: I absolutely loved taking my kids to Kidsfest when they were little! Our city is amazing for special events for children such as the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra`s Canada Life Kids Concerts series, all the fantastic shows at MTYP, the Kids Fringe, and the kids' tent and activities at Folkfest , special Folkfest for kids throughout the year, etc etc!
Here is a picture of my children again getting to meet Al Simmons as he shows them his super cool horse bike!! Probably not a lot of those around!! |
